The Maui County Cruise Ship Task Force Report is out.
The report recommends that Cruise Ships be limited to one per day in Lahaina and that freight be given preference over Cruise Ships in Kahului Harbor.

Groups Sue SuperFerry in Federal Court
Maui Tomorrow, Maui Sierra Club and Kahului Harbor Coalition filed suit in Federal Court asking that the Super Ferry's exclusion from Federal Environmental laws be set aside. If successful, this would require that the SuperFerry do an Environmental Study triggered by there Federal Maritime Loan Guarantee.
